Going on a fishing adventure is one of our favorite activities here at Kemp Outside! We fish all over the United States. From our home base near Tampa Florida we fish Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, as well as Florida’s spectacular inland lakes. Florida claims the title of “Fishing Capital of the World” and it is hard to argue against it.
Fishing is also a part of most of our travels. Just in the last few years, we have fished the bayou south of New Orleans, Lake Guntersville in Alabama, Clarks Hill Lake in Georgia, Lake Erie, the Taquamonon River in Michigan, Crosslake Minnesota, and Lake Cumberland in Kentucky! As you can see, we get around.
Our main fishing platform is our Sylvan 8520 Mirage 4PT that we lovingly call Pontoon-A-Fish, but we also occasionally take charters, or fish from shore. We also fish from a Sylvan 8520 Mirage Cruise-N-Fish at Barb’s family lake cabin in Minnesota. Freshwater or saltwater, bluegill or blue marlin, we love to fish!
We also love to introduce kids to fishing. Going on a fishing adventure with your kids is a great way for them to experience the outdoors, learn about the world around us and develop an appreciation for conservation. In fact, after we adopted our two sons, we were able to introduce them to fishing. Watching them become better anglers is a great joy for this proud dad. So one of our main goals at Kemp Outside is to help parents take their kids fishing!
