How to Tie the Uni to Uni Knot

Learning how to tie the Uni to Uni knot is definitely time well spent if you fish, boat or camp! Click the link above to see our video of how to tie this knot! At Kemp Outside, we want to help you become a better fisherman.  We have created our “Learn to Fish” series to help beginners start fishing.  Tying fishing knots is just a small part of the content we produce!

We use the Uni to Uni knot when tying flourocarbon or monofilament leader to our main braided line when fishing.  We also use this knot when camping as it is a great knot for increasing the length of the guy lines on our tent or screen house.  You can also use the knot if you need to connect any two pieces of rope together like extending your dock or anchor lines.

Be sure to check out our videos on how to tie the Palomar knot and the Improved Clinch knot! Also be sure to stay tuned to Kemp Outside as we show you how to tie several more knots we use every time we go fishing!
