Hiking Turkey Run State Park

Hiking Turkey Run State Park is a fantastic way to experience the beauty of central Indiana! The trails vary from easy to very rugged. If you are up for the challenge, by all means explore the trails that climb rock canyons and traverse streams.  Climb the ladders and hit the stairs for some amazing views your kids will love!  Or, take some of the easier trails and enjoy views of Sugar Creek and a beautiful forest.

The trails in this video include very rugged sections.  Unfortunately these trails are not suited for wheelchairs and folks with mobility issues may not be able to navigate these trails. but if you are able to handle trails like these you will be rewarded with an adventure your family will never forget! Hiking Turkey Run State Park is something I wish I could do every weekend!

In this video, we cover portions of trails 3, 5 and 9.  Check out the Ice Box, Falls Canyon, Boulder Canyon, the Ladders, the Punch Bowl and Rocky Hollow!  I can’t wait to get back to Turkey Run and hit more trails.

Hiking is a great way to get outside and explore nature.  It’s also a terrific way to get some exercise and get your kids to put down their electronic devices.  Don’t forget to check out our other hiking adventures!
