Black Rock Mountain State Park Campground Review

The campground is on top of a mountain ridge.  It is small and the sites are not very large, but the views are fantastic and the weather is alway nice and cool at higher elevation.  It’s a great way to beat the heat in the summer!  The campground amenities are nice and clean.  To book your next campsite at this park, visit the Georgia State Parks website for this park and check out the video above for our campground review!

There is plenty to see and do at Black Rock Mountain!  From camping to hiking, to fantastic mountain views, this park has it all! The overlooks at this park are amazing, no matter what time of year you go!  Check out our park overview video above to see more about this fantastic park!

With the highest elevation of any State Park in Georgia, the entrance road is quite the climb for folks with RVs or campers. Recently we have seen several questions about the entrance road in some of the Georgia camping Facebook groups we are in so we decided to film our drive up to the campground. We hope it helps people planning their next camping trip to Black Rock Mountain State Park!

Hiking Black Rock Lake Trail is a must do when visiting Black Rock Mountain State Park! This is an easy loop trail that is 0.85 miles long and has almost no elevation change.  This trail offers fantastic views of Black Rock Lake and the path is wide and easy to navigate.  There is also a small fishing pier at the lake and the trail offers access to bank fishing around the lake.  Learn more.
